Most computer repair is swap-and-replace: a failed part gets pulled and a new one goes in, at the part’s full price. Board-level repair works differently: it targets the actual failed component on the logic board or motherboard itself, which is often the more direct fix for a no-boot, no-display, or charging fault, and a realistic option even once a board is no longer sold as a spare part.
